Q: How does using AD-ID help with talent compensation?

A: Today's system of varied advertising identifiers and manual calculations risks accurate talent residual payments across media platforms. Using AD-ID enables more accurate tracking and accounting.

 

Q: How does the SAG-AFTRA requirement impact ad units specifically made for internet? 

A: Video ads created specifically for the Internet which use union talent must be registered with AD-ID. 

“Pursuant to Section 51.A.2.c, all Producers are required to utilize AD-ID and electronic reporting.”

 

Q: How does using AD-ID help with talent compensation?

Q: Does the requirement apply to infomercials? 

 

A: The SAG-AFTRA Commercials Contract does not apply to infomercials. They are not covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement which was negotiated. 

 

 

Q: As long as the prefix is registered with AD-ID, that is compliant with the SAG-AFTRA agreement, correct? 

 

A: No, a code is not an AD-ID code unless it is created on the AD-ID system.  Creating your own, even if the prefix is registered, is equivalent to not using one at all and violates the requirement.
